The Waterfalls
From the plaza uphill, past the Esmeralda's, up to the
calvary church, then to the left following the old water tube
connection. The path leads through exciting landscape
scenery, amazing color combination (mornings and
afternoons), after about 2 hours, you'll come to the first
fall, (note: non swim able):  all in all it´s a 4 hr. hike.

We recommend  visiting all three waterfalls, as an all day
hike!
The Uchumachi Mountain
Up past the calvario church, ( the path starts by the red
and white antenna behind the capel), you`ll follow the
track going through dense woods and steep climbs, after
about 30 min.. you’ll get to the first forest, every thing is
still natural, no man planted trees, just some little fire pits
and Voo - doo dolls, the local do their "burjerias"
witchcraft’s here.
Leaving the first forest its just another climb and you’ll be
on the top, at the second forest. Legend say its an old
Inca fortress, in fact it’s a sleeping volcano. From there it’
s another hour or so on the ridge of the crater to the
campsite. Nice views and lows of wildlife (great for bird
watchers). All in all it´s a 4 hour hike.
Tocana
This is one of the nicest trips in the Coroico area. You can walk it,
but due to the construction of the new highway , jeep tour are
nicer. This Town is populated by Afro-Bolivians, since the second
half of the 19th century. There is also the Coca museum which
can be visited. Get a close up view of how the  community grows
coca. All in all it´s a 4 hour hike.
